Using FTP to send videos to Welding Theater
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a simple and secure way to exchange files over the web.
Our FTP address for customers is as follows:
ftp://ftp.f100managednetworks.com
There are 2 ways to use this address:
- with a web browser (not recommended)
- with a dedicated FTP Client (recommended)
Using a FTP Client
When connecting with an FTP Client, uploads and downloads couldn't be easier, and you have added security and additional features. For one, you're able to to resume a download that did not successfully finish, which is a very nice feature for people using dial-up connections who frequently loose their Internet connection.
FTP Client's are simply programs dedicated to uploading and downloading files. We have had very good luck with an open source project called Filezilla: http://filezilla-project.org/
This program is easy to use! Simply install, log in, and FTP. Here's how to set up your Filezilla:
Host: ftp.f100managednetworks.com
Username: customer
Password: Please ask your sales rep!

Now What
Simply browse to your movie file in the local site (left hand side,) right click and upload!
Easy.
